May all of us who are fathers and grandfathers seek to be a father as Abraham was, of whom the Lord said,

“For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him” (Genesis 18.19).

As you read the story of Abraham, you do not see a dictatorial man, but one who led the way, as though he was saying to his family, This way, and they followed him. They saw him doing it, so they knew what to do.
