Jesus wants peace with everyone. However, since we are the ones who have violated His will, He can set the terms for reconciliation, and not everyone likes what He says. Therefore, He warned,

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household’” (Matthew 10.34–36).

If we follow Him with all our hearts, it will cause problems between us and other people, sometimes even with our family, because we have accepted His terms for reconciliation and our dear family sometimes will not, causing conflict.
