A lawyer, who no doubt had been good at tripping people up through clever questions, asked Jesus about the greatest commandment,

Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” (Matthew 22.35–36).

Can you see yourself giving a test to God? Do you think you can come up with a question that He cannot answer?

You probably know what answer Jesus gave, but assume for a moment that you do not know, what answer would you have given the lawyer? The answer might seem obvious, but it is not to everyone. I had a Christian tell me a long time ago, that defending the truth was more important than the answer Jesus gave.
