What is a super truth? I made up that expression to convey one of the weightier matters of Scripture that we discover in the Book of Leviticus, and that the New Testament quotes, imposing it upon us, because it is a super truth,
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy’” (Leviticus 19.1–2).
Peter told us that we should not live as we once did before our conversion to Christ,
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy” (1 Peter 1.15–16).
The truth of Leviticus 19 applies to Christians, because holiness transcends all laws that God has made. Yahweh is our God, and if we hope to be with Him in eternity, then we have to be holy. Are you holy? Have you sought forgiveness for your sins?
