God wants us to be with people, otherwise, we cannot keep a multitude of commands and instructions that He gives us in the Scriptures, but it is also true that we need to spend time alone with Him. Watch what Jesus did,

Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray (Mark 6.45–46).

Did Jesus love people? Yes, He did. Did He want to be with them? He would not have left heaven, if He did not want to be with people. Yet, He also needed to get away and be with His heavenly Father. Surely, if Jesus needed to do that, we all need to do it.
