Aaron and the Levites did not have a region in the Land of Canaan that they could call their own, but they did have a magnificent inheritance, as the Lord Himself said to Aaron,

Then the Lord said to Aaron: “You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel” (Numbers 18.20).

What if the Lord had said that to you? Would you be disappointed or elated? Truly, what is your portion and what is your inheritance now?
