Jewish leaders questioned Jesus, asking Him His authority for the things He did, but notice how He answered them,

But Jesus answered and said to them, “I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things…” (Mark 11.29).

Why did He not immediately answer their question? They were not qualified to know the truth, and they did not truly seek information, but they sought to trap Him. Therefore, read what He did next to see how He showed them that they would not have been able to understand the answer to their question.
