We believe that the Lord will always be there for us, regardless of what we have done. Yet, many times in Scripture, He speaks to people who insist on rejecting Him repeatedly, saying things like this to Israel during the time of the Judges,

“Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress” (Judges 10.14).

So, yes, the Lord is always there for us, but be careful, if you go astray from Him, and especially if you do it repeatedly, He just might let you suffer for a while before He returns to you, which is what the Book of Judges pictures.
