When John’s disciples reported to him that everyone was going to Jesus for baptism rather than to John, the forerunner of Jesus launched into a masterful declaration of Jesus, letting the world know Him. Listen to part of what John said,

“For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure” (John 3.34).

God sent Jesus and that was obvious because Jesus spoke the words of God, words that had never been spoken before. God gave Jesus the fullness of the Spirit. Therefore, everyone should go to Jesus, and everyone should be baptized in the name of Jesus. Have you been baptized?
