05.15.2014 New Testament: John 5.37–38
To read the Bible in a year, read John 5.25–47 on May 15, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
The Father testified of Jesus, but the Jews did not accept that testimony. Do you accept it? Jesus said,
“And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe” (John 5.37–38).
Many people say they accept God, that they believe in Him, but they will not name the name of Jesus. They like the idea of a God to whom they can pray, but they do not necessarily want to hear what He has to say, as revealed in the words of Jesus of Nazareth.
