What do you think of Jesus feeding you everyday?

To read the Bible in a year, read John 6.1–21 on May 16, In the year of our Lord 2014

By Don Ruhl

Jesus fed about five thousand men miraculously from five barley loaves of bread and two small fish. Then this happened,

So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world” (John 6.12–14).

Jesus fed them and they concluded that He was the Prophet who was to come into the world. Jesus feeds you daily. Colossians 1.17 says that, “in Him all things consist,” and Hebrews 1.3 declares that He is, “upholding all things by the word of His power.” Feeding us daily would be included in what these passages declare of Jesus.

Knowing that He feeds you daily, what do you think of Him? Who do you think He is? Are you backing up your belief about Him with obedience to His commands?
