Jesus did not live for Himself and He did not die for Himself, but He did everything for us, even as a shepherd does everything for the sheep,

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10.10–11).

How can you know a spiritual thief? How does the thief interact with you? Does he seek to take from you? If so, get away from him and run to the true Shepherd of your soul, the Lord Jesus Christ, because He came to give you life, and you can tell by what He said and did, as recorded in the Gospel Accounts.
