As Ezra, the writer of First Chronicles, listed how David divided the Levites for serving in the temple, the scribe said,

The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli were Eleazar and Kish. And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but only daughters; and their brethren, the sons of Kish, took them as wives. The sons of Mushi were Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth—three in all (1 Chronicles 23.21–23).

The sons of Kish took their cousins as wives, showing kindness to the family. Sometimes the most treachery occurs between family members, but sometimes the greatest kindness can happen in a family also.
