Magnify Jesus with all that you are

05.31.2014 New Testament: John 12.12–13

To read the Bible in a year, read John 12.1–19 on May 31, In the year of our Lord 2014

By Don Ruhl

When Jesus entered Jerusalem during the last week of His life, the people seemed to have a good idea of His identity,

The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out:

“Hosanna!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
The King of Israel!”

(John 12.12–13).

Was that not wonderful? If only they could have stayed with those thoughts, they would not have done something horrible just days later.

Never forget what you believe about Jesus, that He is the Son of the living God, but also remember that what society says about Him can change rapidly from good to bad and then back to good again.
