Solomon loved the Lord and the Lord loved Solomon. Solomon obeyed the Lord and the Lord blessed Solomon for it. Therefore, when he completed the construction of the temple, the Bible says something about him that I hope can also be said about me,

Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s house; and Solomon successfully accomplished all that came into his heart to make in the house of the Lord and in his own house (2 Chronicles 7.11). 

If something came into the heart of Solomon that he wanted to do for the house of the Lord, Solomon accomplished it successfully.
