06.16.2014 New Testament: Acts 2.11
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 2.1–13 on June 16, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
The Lord baptized the apostles in the Holy Spirit, giving them the ability to speak in tongues that they had not previously known. As you can imagine, that amazed the people,
“…we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God” (Acts 2.11).
We do not know what they said, but from the context, I think we can know that they at least spoke of Jesus. We can speak on many of God’s wonderful works, but nothing surpasses the work God did in Christ to save us from our sins.
