06.17.2014 New Testament: Acts 2.32–33
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 2.14–47 on June 17, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
Peter affirmed the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, because Peter had seen Jesus alive, but that also led to another wonderful truth,
“This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear” (Acts 2.32–33).
Peter witnessed the resurrected Christ, and that being true, Jesus then did what He promised to do, He sent the Holy Spirit. God keeps His promises regardless of what man does to keep it from happening. Not even killing the Son of God, could prevent Him from keeping His promises.
