Why do you persecute the Lord?

Acts Wide

07.26.2014 New Testament: Acts 26.14–15

To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 26 on July 26, In the year of our Lord 2014

By Don Ruhl

Saul of Tarsus dedicated himself to destroying the name of Jesus of Nazareth, but then Jesus appeared to Saul,

“And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting’” (Acts 26.14–15).

Imagine being Saul. You have been busy persecuting the followers of Jesus of Nazareth, then He appears to you in a heavenly vision! What would go through your mind? Obviously, Saul did not argue, but simply wanted to know the identity of this person speaking to him, and then he wanted to know what to do.

Find out who Jesus of Nazareth is, and when you make the discovery, do whatever He teaches you.
