08.03.2014 Old Testament: Psa 71.4–6
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalm 70–72 on August 3, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
The psalmist spoke of his trust in God since the days of youth,
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked,
Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
For You are my hope, O Lord GOD;
You are my trust from my youth.
By You I have been upheld from birth;
You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb.
My praise shall be continually of You.
(Psalm 71.4–6).
Even before we knew to trust God, He watched over us, and blessed us.
Therefore, do not worry or fret, but rely upon Him even as a helpless child.
