Asaph pictured the wicked and criminals, when he wrote,

Therefore his people return here,
And waters of a full cup are drained by them.
And they say, “How does God know?
And is there knowledge in the Most High?”
(Psalm 73.10–11). 

They take it all for themselves, caring nothing for others, because they believe God does not see, and that He does not know what they do.

Imagine the surprise when they appear before God at the Judgment.
