08.14.2014 Old Testament: Psa 100.4–5
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 99–102 on August 14, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
When you know that Yahweh is God, and that we did not make ourselves, but He made us, you will want to come into His presence with singing (Psalm 100.1–3), and the nature of the singing will be as the psalmist declared,
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
(Psalm 100.4–5)
Give thanks to Him who made you, and praise Him with all your might. Bless His name, and ask Him how you can bless His name today.
Why should you do these things? In addition to the fact that He created you, know that He also is good and His mercy knows no end, and His truth continues to every generation on this Earth.
