Paul rebuked the Corinthian Church for openly fellowshipping a member of their congregation who had married his step-mother. He explained why this was not good, and he ended his instruction this way,

For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person” (1 Corinthians 5.12–13). 

God expects us to handle disorderly or immoral members, but He will handle those outside the church.
