Leave those landmarks alone

Proverbs Bible Background

09.13.2014 Old Testament: Pro 23.10–11

To read the Bible in a year, read Proverbs 23–24 on September 13, In the year of our Lord 2014

By Don Ruhl

Landmarks, or property boundaries, should not be moved, unless the parties on both sides have gone through the proper procedures and endorsed the move, otherwise, immense problems can arise, including having to deal with the Lord,

Do not remove the ancient landmark,
Nor enter the fields of the fatherless;
For their Redeemer is mighty;
He will plead their cause against you.
(Proverbs 23.10–11)

Having problems with your neighbor does not compare to having problems with your Creator. Therefore, do not take advantage of someone who cannot defend himself against property encroachment, because the God of heaven sees what you do, and He shall do something about it.
