We tend to keep ourselves guarded around people, but then we are surprised when people do not seem all that friendly toward us. Watch how Paul and his preaching team lived among the Corinthians,

O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open (2 Corinthians 6.11). 

When Paul preached there, he did not hold himself back, but lived for them, and as a result, he changed the world.
