If someone gives you something, do you want them to give it grudgingly, or cheerfully? Do I even need to ask that question? God also loves a cheerful giver, as it is written,

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9.7). 

Therefore, be glad to give every first day of the week, and God will love you for it.
