If you compare yourself with others, you will find that you are better than others, and you will find that others are better than you. What good then does it do for us to compare ourselves with others?

For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise (2 Corinthians 10.12). 

The wise thing to do is to compare ourselves with the Lord, because He will judge us in the end. When we compare ourselves with Him, we will come up short every time, but He by His grace will make up the difference!
