10.02.2014 Old Testament: Isa 24.19–20
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 24–26 on October 2, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
The prophets often spoke of the impending doom of a city or a nation, but sometimes the situation got so bad all over, that the prophet revealed doom for everyone,
The earth is violently broken,
The earth is split open,
The earth is shaken exceedingly.
The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard,
And shall totter like a hut;
Its transgression shall be heavy upon it,
And it will fall, and not rise again.
(Isaiah 24.19–20)
It happened in the days of Noah, and it will happen again. We think we are getting away with our sin, but we only store up wrath when we do not repent. Let us repent right now!
