10.04.2014 Old Testament: Isa 29.17–19
To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 29–30 on October 4, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
The Lord can make the rich poor, and the poor rich, the exalted low, and the low exalted. Listen to Isaiah,
Is it not yet a very little while
Till Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field,
And the fruitful field be esteemed as a forest?
In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book,
And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness.
The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord,
And the poor among men shall rejoice
In the Holy One of Israel.
(Isaiah 29.17–19)
He turns a forest into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field into a forest, the deaf hear, the hearing become deaf, the blind see, and the seeing become blind. The humble have a reason to rejoice although they be poor, because they find their rejoicing in the Lord.
Where do you find your joy? If it is in the Lord, be patient and watch what He does in your life.
