When someone rejects what is so dear to us, we take it personally, but we should not, especially when it comes to the teachings of Scripture, because the one rejecting does not have a problem with us, but with our Lord,

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 4.8). 

Let our attention be upon the Lord, and when people do reject, we will not take it personally.
