Some people just do not love the truth, and they will not receive it into their hearts that they might be freed from sin, enabling them to live in righteousness. No, they enjoy unrighteousness, and for them, the Lord does such,

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thessalonians 2.11–12). 

The Lord God will actually send them a strong delusion to help them in their unbelief. May that never happen to any of us. Truly, may we fear and tremble at such a thing ever happening to us.
