11.21.2014 New Testament: Jam 3.14–16
To read the Bible in a year, read James 3 on November 21, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
Sometimes Christians get a spirit in them that does not reflect the wisdom that comes down from above, but they unknowingly embrace wisdom that comes from God’s enemy,
But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there (James 3.14–16).
Are you bitter? Are you envious? Are you a self-seeker? Perhaps you do not even know. Look at that last sentence from James, for if confusion and evil things happen in your interaction with others, you may have discovered what kind of wisdom you have.
