12.03.2014 New Testament: 1Jo 2.12–14
To read the Bible in a year, read First John 2 on December 3, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
In First John 2.12–14, the apostle revealed to whom he wrote and for what reasons. As I read over the list, it made me feel strong and powerful, glad to be a Christian. Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? If so, read the following and see how it makes you feel,
I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.
I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father.
I have written to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.
(1 John 2.12–14).
Do not live as an intimidated Christian, full of fear, fearing everyone and everything, but know that
Your sins are forgiven
You know the Lord
You have overcome the wicked one
You know the Father
You are strong
The word of God abides in you
