12.11.2014 Old Testament: Hos 10.1–2
To read the Bible in a year, read Hosea 9–11 on December 11, In the year of our Lord 2014
By Don Ruhl
The more Israel prospered, the more the nation moved away from the Lord, and the more they started to worship false gods,
Israel empties his vine;
He brings forth fruit for himself.
According to the multitude of his fruit
He has increased the altars;
According to the bounty of his land
They have embellished his sacred pillars.
Their heart is divided;
Now they are held guilty.
He will break down their altars;
He will ruin their sacred pillars.
(Hosea 10.1–2)
What do you do when you prosper?
