12.18.2014 Old Testament: Jon 1.14–16
To read the Bible in a year, read Jonah on December 18, In the year of our Lord 2014

Yes, if we submit to the Lord, life turns out better, but that does not mean submitting to Him always comes easily. For example, when Jonah fled from the presence of the Lord, he boarded a ship, and the Lord threw a violent storm against that ship, although the people on it had not done anything wrong. When they found out that the Lord had sent the storm because of Jonah, they did something that must have been very difficult for them to do; they threw Jonah overboard,
Therefore they cried out to the Lord and said, “We pray, O Lord, please do not let us perish for this man’s life, and do not charge us with innocent blood; for You, O Lord, have done as it pleased You.” So they picked up Jonah and threw him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging. Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice to the Lord and took vows (Jonah 1.14–16).
They had not been believers in Jehovah God before, but after this incident, you can see that they became believers, moving them to make a sacrifice to the Lord and to make vows.
You believe in the Lord. What has your belief moved you to do?
