Habakkuk prayed to the Lord to do something about the evil in his society, and the Lord told the prophet that He was preparing a massive work to punish the children of Judah. However, the Lord’s solution shocked the prophet, because the Lord would use a people more vile than Judah to punish Judah. Therefore, the prophet said,

I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected.
(Habakkuk 2.1) 

Pray to the Lord concerning your issues. Then wait to see what He does. Whatever it is, learn to accept it, because He knows what is best, He knows what He is doing.
