Christians despair about the moral conditions of today, believing we live in the most wicked of times, but that is far from it, although evil abounds in the world today. People have already forgotten what got World War II started. The Dark Ages abounded in evil. However, none of those times, nor our time, have not surpassed what the Bible says here,
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth (Genesis 6.11–12).
When Moses wrote that the earth was filled with violence and that all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth, that is just what be meant. Only Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their wives were different. They were not violent people. They did not allow the world to corrupt them. They walked in the grace of God.
This is not to minimize evil today, but it does put things in perspective, and it lets us know that souls still exist who want the truth of salvation.
