God has blessed me with the awesome privilege of baptizing many people into Christ, but when I performed those baptisms, I never saw anything like what John the Baptist saw when he baptized Jesus,

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him (Matthew 3.16). 

Having baptized Jesus of Nazareth, John witnessed two things: First, the heavens opened (and what would that be like to see?), and second, He saw the Spirit of God descending upon Jesus.

By these things, John knew that the carpenter from Nazareth was the Son from heaven. Do you believe with all your heart that Jesus is the Son of the living God? If so, follow up your belief with a changed life and then submit to baptism for the forgiveness of your sins, that you might receive the Spirit of God.
