01.09.2015 New Testament: Matt 8.13
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 8 on January 9, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
A Roman centurion approached Jesus, asking for a healing for a servant, and the faith of the centurion was so strong that he believed Jesus did not even have to be present for the healing to happen. After Jesus commended the centurion, Jesus said,
“Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you” (Matthew 8.13).
Matthew wrote that the servant was healed at that very time. Jesus responds favorably toward anyone who believes in Him, because belief in Jesus shows that we accept what He says as the truth. It shows that we know He knows the truth. It shows that we have accepted His true identity.
