To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 9.18–38 on January 11, In the year of our Lord 2015

How many people live in your town? Is your church able to evangelize all of them? If not, what can you do about it? Do what Jesus said to do,
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Matthew 9.36–38).
He compared the many needing salvation to a harvest. A farmer with a large crop does not harvest it alone, but asks for help. Likewise, let us ask the Lord for help, more people who can harvest the crop that is around us.
