Joseph had been in prison a long time, but finally he was brought out and actually stood before Pharaoh, who wanted Joseph to interpret a dream. After spending years behind bars, he had a great opportunity to seek something for himself, since he was innocent and never should have been thrown into prison. However, at the first opportunity he glorified God,

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.” So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace” (Genesis 41.15–16).

Joseph did what we all should do. Resolve today that you will glorify God whenever you get the chance.
