What does it take to turn some people to the Lord? Some people will never turn to the Lord, no matter what is done for them or against them. Look at Pharaoh after the Lord turned the waters of Egypt into blood,
Then the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments; and Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, as the Lord had said. And Pharaoh turned and went into his house. Neither was his heart moved by this. So all the Egyptians dug all around the river for water to drink, because they could not drink the water of the river. And seven days passed after the Lord had struck the river (Exodus 7.22–25).
The Lord performed nine more miraculous wonders that devastated Egypt, but none of them caused Pharaoh to obey the Lord. Even at the last one, when Pharaoh finally let the people go, he changed his heart and pursued after Israel.
Do not become stubborn and fight against the Lord, but follow Him with all your might, acknowledging all His ways to be right.
