01.28.2015 Old Testament: Exo 16.13
To read the Bible in a year, read Exodus 16–18 on January 28, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Sometimes the Lord lets us lack and sometimes He gives us more than we can handle. Israel experienced both in the wilderness. Once He promised them that they would have meat in the evening and bread in the morning (Exodus 16.12), and He did just as He promised,
So it was that quails came up at evening and covered the camp, and in the morning the dew lay all around the camp (Exodus 16.13).
He provided for them in this case out of anger, but we do not want Him to be angry at us. Therefore, let us believe that He shall provide all our needs, and He shall do so in love.
