01.29.2015 New Testament: Matt 20.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 20.1–16 on January 29, In the year of our Lord 2015

Many believers seem to have the idea that they have become believers just to be believers. Jesus did not give us the kingdom of heaven so we can lay around, but He expects us to labor in His kingdom, as He showed in one of His parables,
“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard” (Matthew 20.1).
Did you get that? Jesus compared the kingdom of heaven to a landowner who sought to hire laborers. Do not think that you can gain the kingdom of heaven by refusing to labor for Him.
