There is a movement to get Christians to keep the feasts of Israel, and if anyone wants to take part in those feasts, fine, but do not do it as a matter of salvation. Why? Because Jesus and the apostles never encouraged us or commanded us to observe those feasts, which were specifically for Israel, commemorating certain events in their history, such as the Feast of Unleavened Bread,

“The Feast of Unleavened Bread you shall keep. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the appointed time of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out from Egypt” (Exodus 34.18).

The Lord told Israel to keep this feast because it commemorated their escape from Egypt, and they were even to keep it in the same month as the escape. Non-Jewish people, even Christians, have not had that experience.

However, even as a citizen of any country outside of the United States can come and enjoy the Fourth of July festivities, so can anyone enjoy Israelite feasts.
