02.10.2015 New Testament: Matt 26.14–16
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 26.1–19 on February 10, In the year of our Lord 2015

Judas had a covetous heart. He stole money out of the treasury, and when he found an opportune time, he tried to make money off Jesus,
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him (Matthew 26.14–16).
Judas did not name a price, but accepted whatever the chief priests decided it was worth to have Jesus dead. To Judas, and to the chief priests, Jesus was worth a whopping 30 pieces of silver! I hope they did not break their bank accounts! What do you think they now believe about what they did?
