Have you planted seed? What did you do? You put the seed in the ground, gave it some water, and waited. That is all we can do when we teach or preach, or speak the truth to our neighbor,

“The sower sows the word” (Mark 4.14).

Jesus taught a parable of a man who sowed seed and had four different results. First, Jesus interpreted His parable by revealing that the sower in the story and his seed, represent the giving of the word of God to people.

Even as we cannot force seed to sprout, and even as we cannot force the plant to produce, so we cannot force people to follow Jesus. Just give them a little truth here and there, and let the word do the work.
