02.22.2015 New Testament: Mark 4.30–32
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 4.21–41 on February 22, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Jesus loved to speak the truth in parables. On one occasion He illustrated the kingdom of God with this parable,
Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade” (Mark 4.30–32).
Think of it. The kingdom of God started on the first Pentecost feast day of the Jews after the resurrection of Jesus. It began with a small number of people. Today it has encircled the globe, and it continues to expand everywhere. Are you part of it?

I am the mustard seed. I am a part of His great kingdom.
