If you want something, be careful the Lord may give it

Of the many complaints Israel had against the Lord, one was the lack of meat while in the wilderness. Since they were not content with what He was providing, but wanted what they had while in slavery, although they complained about being slaves, He gave them what they wanted and in superabundance,

Then you shall say to the people, “Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the hearing of the Lord, saying, ‘Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt.’ Therefore the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat. You shall eat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days, but for a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have despised the Lord who is among you, and have wept before Him, saying, ‘Why did we ever come up out of Egypt?’” (Numbers 11.18–20).

If we complain about not having a blessing, and if we are not happy with what the Lord has given, He just might give us what we want, but in such abundance that it makes us miserable, because we thought we absolutely needed it, but He wants us to know that He knows what is best for us.
