02.26.2015 New Testament: Mark 6.47–48
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 6.33–56 on February 26, In the year of our Lord 2015
By Don Ruhl
Jesus sent the disciples out on a boat on the Sea of Galilee. During the evening, they ran into trouble, but watch Jesus,
Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by (Mark 6.47–48).
He saw them struggling with the wind, but then He walked on the water and intended on passing by them. They stopped Him, and He helped them.
Sometimes it appears that the Lord does not know or does not care that we struggle, but He knows and He cares. We need to call out to Him for help.
