The minority led the majority

Deuteronomy Bible Background

03.07.2015 Old Testament: Deu 3.28–29

To read the Bible in a year, read Deuteronomy 3–4 on March 7, In the year of our Lord 2015

By Don Ruhl

Of the twelve spies that Moses and Israel sent into the Land of Canaan, only two brought back an encouraging report. The Lord took one of those men, Joshua, and made him the leader of the children of Israel, who would lead them into the Promised Land,

“‘But command Joshua, and encourage him and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you will see.’ So we stayed in the valley opposite Beth Peor” (Deuteronomy 3.28–29).

Believe the Lord with all your heart, and you are the one who shall do well in life. Sometimes your unshakeable faith in Him will put you in the minority, but do not fear, the Lord of heaven and Earth shall be with you and you shall do wonderful things.

  1. I shall not fear as a believer for God is with me no matter what I’m going through or will go through. I believe that with my whole heart and He does not let us down even when we are down. Thank you for this scripture reminder.
